I want to thank everyone who pledged their money to make Giant Void. This next step - turning pledges into cash in a production account - is huge one. What comes after that? Pre-production: hiring cast and crew, booking locations, and scheduling dates for the shoot. With every step this film becomes more and more real.
Lullaby: Alina Lee x Michael Reisinger
In early October I co-directed a short film, Lullaby, with Alina Lee. We’ve worked together on past projects and have the telltale shorthand of good collaborators. She sent me her semi-autobiographical script back in March and it hit me hard. We spent the summer storyboarding and finding the right cast and crew, which culminated in an intense four-day shoot at locations all over LA.
It was a deeply satisfying experience, and as we enter post-production my only hope is the film lives up to its incredible promise. You, dear reader, will be among the first know if it does.
